As you may well know The Celtic Cowboys are currently recording some original songs to go on this very website. If you check out the attached pictures you’ll see the next generation of the Fox Family getting up close and personal with Rock history. Elisa Fox is now living and working in London and took some time today to visit Abbey Road Studios. So she got there before I did…never mind. Elisa seems to be settling in to her new life after a fairly shaky start.
I wrote a song about the whole ‘Airport Experience’ as your daughter leaves for another country. Here it is:
ELISA’S SONG
Flying to London, spreading your wings, time to hear the song a new city sings
Tears at the airport, saying goodbyes. You’ll have a great time so dry your eyes
Flying to London, taking your chance. Don’t stand on the sidelines; it’s your turn to dance
You talked about it; you made your plans and you only get one kick at the can.
Maybe you’ll meet someone famous; maybe you’ll meet ‘what’s his name?’
You know the guy from the movies. The one’s that always end the same.
Take a taxi cab; travel on the tube Go watch a football match; there’s lots to do.
Eat at famous restaurants when you get the chance. Prince Harry might be sitting close by dreaming of romance.
You’ll have to talk to strangers What can I say?
But be careful when you cross the road And look both ways
Flying to London, spreading your wings. Time to hear the song a new city sings
Tears at the airport, saying goodbyes. You’ll have a great time so dry your eyes.
(I’ve got a rough demo of this one and if the computer Gods are with me I’ll get it onto this very website shortly. Hope you like it. P)
