Oh What A Night

I have to start out this little bloggy thing by thanking everyone who came to our “Burns Night Bash” at Deep Cove Brewers and Distillers yesterday evening. We had no idea so many people would brave the elements and a possible flu epidemic to watch little old us.
I have no accurate idea of the actual figures but the Brewery ran out of glasses and had to post bouncers on the door…the place was packed! This was despite the fact that the evening actually included poetry, myself on lead vocals more than once and the distribution of free range haggis caught in the highlands of Scotland only a few days previously.
From the tiny patch of space laughingly known as the stage area we could hardly see past the masked ranks of giant blokes all wanting to sing along to country and Celtic songs. I’m told some close personal friends of the band couldn’t actually get in to see the show as we had filled the place up to (and maybe past) fire department regulations…sorry about that. We’ll try to think of a way to make it up to you.
Anyway, we certainly had a great time and we hope you did too. Hope to repeat the experience real soon. Many thanks to Camille and Co. at Deep Cove Brewers and Distillers. You guys were terrific as usual.
Cheers, Paul
