Paul - Vocals, Guitar and Bass
First born son of a penniless black puddin' miner, Paul grew "slightly" in to adulthood amongst the steel mills and pits of South Yorkshire, UK. He played Bass in a couple of bands in England. In fact, he recently received royalties for a single he played on in the 80’s. So he's officially a professional musician, although it's hard to tell.
In the early 90's he dragged his beautiful wife and daughter, kicking & screaming (funny names) onto a westbound tramp steamer carrying kippers to Vancouver. Beautiful wife and daughter weren't happy because they had tickets on a British airways jumbo.
Now sings and plays guitar in the Celtic Cowboys...Oh and he writes songs and detective stories too: theconniebypaulfox.com
James - Keyboards, Ukulele and Banjolele
For over 35 years, James has been playing keyboards which makes him feel officially old! A native of Reading England, James has an eclectic taste in music although the common theme is they all features great Keyboard synth parts.
The Ukulele was something he taught himself during a particularly disappointing Canucks playoff run in 2007 and is now the proud owner of 8 Ukes. James still harbors dreams of owning a Keytar and convincing Paul to sing Take On Me by a-ha.
Dave - Vocals, Accordion, Guitar, Banjo & Harmonica
A Deep Cove music legend, Dave has played an active part in bands across Vancouver and the Lower Mainland for over 40 years. One of the original organizers of the successful Deep Cove Days music festival, Dave has heled many up and coming musicians get the chance to play on a live pubic stage.
Dale- Vocals, Bass and Guitar
Dale was introduced to the Celtic Cowboys when Dave used his phone a friend to settle an argument on which key the Jimmy Buffett classic Margaritaville was played in. Dale has played Bass in many successful bands across BC and beyond and is a regular at Jams sessions across Vancouver.
Owen - Blair Electronic Bagpipes, Drum Kit, Bodrhan, Guiro, Ukulele and some background yelling
At 8 years of age, the lessons started on bagpipes. It has been a gruelling journey from mis-fingering to playing at the World Championships in Scotland.
Owen has played his pipes from the pilot's seat of a 747 over Greenland and down The Cut on Grouse Mountain. Drums came later as the idea for the Celtic Cowboys was formulated - in the immortal words of Keith Moon "I can play the drums".
